Professor Jenkins gave a smile once he realized that the groups of directions were not just lists, but writing directions. If you follow with your finger on a Caribbean Sea map the locations in order, a different letter will be drawn. For instance:

Port-Au-Prince, Puerto Rico, Caicos Islands and Aruba

roughly spells out the letter 'P'. If you did this on each of the island location lists, it would spell out the following message:

" I S P E N T I T A L L "

or, "I spent it all."
