Cut out small butterflies (or use di-cuts) and hide them throughout the party space. Have an ongoing game for your guests to collect as many butterflies as they can. Offer different point values to different colors of butterflies (keeping in mind to hide the higher point ones in more challenging places to find.)

Provide each guests with lots of different colored sheets of construction paper, scissors, glues, pipe cleaners (for the antennae), markers/crayons and glitter (if you dare...) and have each one come up with their own unique butterfly! These are great to hang up as decorations for the party (allowing the guests to take their's home when they leave.) This kind of activity is ideal for those guests who arrive earlier and are awaiting the arrival of the remaining guests.

Have a vase of flowers at the door with a sign instructing your guests to take one as they enter.

Use thin, white fabric netting as a draping decoration over windows and chandeliers. They look great offering a 'butterfly net' feel!
