Chicago Bears Party Ideas

Chicago Bears game day field! For those that are planning much of their party space outdoors, take some standard white sidewalk chalk and draw some of the lines on a football field directly onto your cement patio or driveway space. You won’t be able to get the whole field in, probably, but drawing a few of the yard marks can still have a huge impact on the overall decorating space. This is especially effective for outdoor spaces because there never seems to be enough decorations to thoroughly cover an outdoor space (with all of the wide open space in view.)

Chicago Bears game posters make for great decorations AND they can even double as prizes for any games that you have planned for your party. Hang the posters in very visible spots throughout your party area. Each time someone wins one of your games, allow them to choose from one of the posters on the wall that hasn’t already been chosen by a previous winner. Typically, you need to throw away the decorations at the end of a party…not this time! Your guests will be able to happily take them home with them!

Play a few rounds of football themed Bingo. This is a great activity to play while watching the game during commercial time or every time someone scores during the game. You can either create your own boards or download some HERE.

Teddy Graham cookies are great to put in bowls for snacks (they are in the shapes of bears!)

Using brown construction paper, cut out a lot of bear paw prints. These look great taped to the floor leading to the front door of your party or on the walls of your actual party space!

If you’ll be watching the game, ask trivia questions during the commercials about the Chicago Bears or the city of Chicago in general. The first one to answer the question gets a raffle ticket. After the game is over, hold a raffle for a prize (or prizes) using the raffle tickets everyone earned during the game.

Visit your local scrapbooking store and check out there individual print pages. These make for GREAT table place mats or as a base for your centerpiece. They are very inexpensive (typically 60 cents a piece) and can be found in a variety of colors and prints. If you live in the city of the team, you can often find Bears theme pages!

When purchasing team print napkins and plates, pick up an extra package of each and use them for decoration! They can be some of the least expensive and festive decorations you can use for your party. Napkins that are unfolded can be hung up, place inside clear bowls for centerpieces and taped up just about anywhere. The plates can be hung from the ceiling and the walls. It’s a simple idea, but a great way to add volume to your decorating without breaking the budget (see below for team print napkins and plate options.)
