Hang Cleveland Indians posters on the walls to your party - but they ALSO make for great prizes for any games that you have planned. To keep the action going throughout the game, organize a raffle at different times of the game. The first winner gets first choice of poster on the wall to take home with him/her. Wait a little while longer and raffle off another poster. Keep doing this until all of the posters have been claimed! See below for online poster resources.

Hold a raffle while everyone is watching the Cleveland Indians game. Ahead of time make sure that everyone is committed to one of the teams playing. Each time their team scores a run, hand out raffle tickets to those guests. At the end of the party, hold the raffle. In this way, even the ‘losing’ team supporters will have a chance to win the prize at the end.

For fun invitations, consider buying empty bags of popcorn or peanuts at your local restaurant supply store. Simply write all of the party information on the bags, or put them inside the bags. If you are able to, consider filling the bags with popcorn first!

Play a game of Run the Bases! In a backyard space (or some other space outdoors free from breakable obstacles) set out all four bases (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Home.) You can choose whether or not the bases are aligned in a typical baseball diamond or if you’d like to arrange them more random. The object of the game is to run to 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd, then Home then back to 1st again (repeating as many times as they can in one minute.) Each player will get a point each time he/she touches a base as they pass it, not just when they reach home (otherwise the scores could be too close.) The winner is the person with the most points after everyone has a chance to run the bases!

As the colors of the Cleveland Indiana are red, navy and white, consider getting these colors of construction paper and creating a paper chain for decorating. This is an activity that the kids can even get in on (and take over if you’re lucky…) They are simple to create - you can get creative, too, on your color arrangement. For example you can alternate colors or have several links of one color before changing to a new color.

Get your hands one wrapping paper in the team colors. These are great for decorating, creating table place mats, centerpieces, cutting into confetti and for making goodie bags.
