As
the host or hostess to the party, its important for
you to dress the part as well. Go all out on dressing in Green
Bay Packers colors and mascot prints. As an alternative, especially
if there will be fans of the opposing team (on game day),
consider borrowing a referees shirt from a friend who
volunteers through a league or city recreation center.
Greenbay
Packers posters make for great party decorations AND party
game prizes! They work great for decorations because they
can fill a large space with a great image. They can also be
turned into prizes for different games that you have planned
throughout the party. Simply allow the winner of each successive
game to choose which of the posters theyd like to take
home at the conclusion to the party. Be sure to put a post-it
or sticky-note on each poster as it is chosen so that the
new game winners will know which ones are still available.
See below for a resource for getting your hands on some Greenbay
Packers posters.
If
youll be watching the big game as part of the party
(or AS the party) have a Green Bay Packers hat that gets passed
around the room each time the Packers make a score of any
kind. Each time they score, it gets passed to the next party
guest who has to wear the hat until the next time the Packers
score. At the end of the game, whoever is wearing the hat
wins a prize!
Play
a few rounds of football themed Bingo. This is a great activity
to play while watching the game during commercial time or
every time someone scores during the game. You can either
create your own boards or download some HERE.
Get
the kids involved and make a paper chain using the Green Bay
Packers colors. Cut the construction paper in strips and loop
each strip, connecting the ends with either staples or tape.
Have fun coming up with different combination of colors alternating
in groups or every other loop. Its inexpensive and easy
and they look great!
A
great kids game (and for more energetic adults) is to have
each player lay on the ground wearing full football pads (all
of them.) When you say GO, the party guest wearing the full
pads must stand up and lay back down as many times as they
can in one minute. This is tough to do WITHOUT the pads, with
the pads its even more crazy!
When
purchasing team print napkins and plates, pick up an extra
package of each and use them for decoration! They can be some
of the least expensive and festive decorations you can use
for your party. Napkins that are unfolded can be hung up,
place inside clear bowls for centerpieces and taped up just
about anywhere. The plates can be hung from the ceiling and
the walls. Its a simple idea, but a great way to add
volume to your decorating without breaking the budget (see
below for team print napkins and plate options.)
