Put up some decorations that will double as prizes! Order some Los Angeles Dodgers posters and hang them up around the party space. You can either create your own contest or simply have a raffle to allow for your guests to win the posters on the wall as the game goes on. If you’ve opted to play baseball Bingo while you are watching the game, then these would make great prizes for that as well! See below for online poster resources.

Before the game actually begins, have everyone take a guess as to how many homeruns the Los Angeles Dodgers will hit before the game is over. At the end of the game, the one who guessed the closest without going over wins.

Make your invitations look like game day tickets for an Los Angeles Dodgers game. It’s a perfect format for giving all of the information for your party - the exact time and date for your party!

Play Los Angeles Dodgers Penny Pitch. Set up a few Los Angeles Dodgers baseball caps (face up such that they could catch a penny if one was thrown its way) on the ground some distance away. Around the Los Angeles Dodgers caps arrange OTHER teams’ caps in a similar fashion. Each player is to throw five pennies towards the arrangement of hats, hoping their pennies land inside the Los Angeles Dodgers caps. They will receive 5 points for each penny that does. For every penny that lands in ANOTHER cap (some other team) TWO points are taken away from their score. Once each player has had a chance to throw their five, determine a winner by seeing who has the most points!

As the colors of the Los Angeles Dodgers are red, Dodger Blue and white, consider getting these colors of construction paper and creating a paper chain for decorating. This is an activity that the kids can even get in on (and take over if you’re lucky…) They are simple to create - you can get creative, too, on your color arrangement. For example you can alternate colors or have several links of one color before changing to a new color.

Sometimes you’ll want to blanket a large space of your party with their colors, but that can get pretty expensive. For an inexpensive alternative, pick up a few rolls of cheap wrapping paper in the Padres colors. These can be used to decorates doorways, walls and even used to cut out giant letters spelling the name of the team!
