Heres
a fun game that can be played throughout the duration of your
party. Cut out a bunch of football images (or players on the
Miami Hurricanes teams - images found online.) Youll
need multiple copies of each image so that multiple party
guests can find them. On the backs of each of the images,
write a number between 1 and 3. These images will then be
hid all throughout your party space. Be sure to hide the images
with a 1 on the back in easier places and the ones with a
3 in the most difficult to find places. Explain
to your guests that theyll need to find the images (either
footballs or the players) before the party is over. Explain
that the winner will be determined not by who found the most,
but rather who has the most number of points (the numbers
on the backs of the images represent the points earned for
finding that image.)
For
fun party invitations, disguise your invites as newspaper
headlines saying that there is a HURRICANE coming in your
area!
Play
a few rounds of football themed Bingo. This is a great activity
to play while watching the game during commercial time or
every time someone scores during the game. You can either
create your own boards or download some HERE.
When
it comes time to switch activities or something is happening
at your party, flicker the lights on and off just like in
a hurricane!
For
a fun tablecloth, cover the table with white butcher paper
and paint a message right on the paper - something like GO
HURRICANES!
Get
your hands on some wrapping paper in Miami Hurricanes colors
(it would be even better to get some official Miami Hurricanes
print, but not necessary.) Wrap up some empty boxes in the
wrapping paper and use as table top decorations throughout
your party space. They will add volume to your party decorations
and fill the room with team colors. For the more ambitious,
consider wrapping very large boxes like those from appliances
found behind major department stores!
When
purchasing team print napkins and plates, pick up an extra
package of each and use them for decoration! They can be some
of the least expensive and festive decorations you can use
for your party. Napkins that are unfolded can be hung up,
place inside clear bowls for centerpieces and taped up just
about anywhere. The plates can be hung from the ceiling and
the walls. Its a simple idea, but a great way to add
volume to your decorating without breaking the budget (see
below for team print napkins and plate options.)
