New Orleans Saints Party Ideas

New Orleans Saints game day field! For those that are planning much of their party space outdoors, take some standard white sidewalk chalk and draw some of the lines on a football field directly onto your cement patio or driveway space. You won’t be able to get the whole field in, probably, but drawing a few of the yard marks can still have a huge impact on the overall decorating space. This is especially effective for outdoor spaces because there never seems to be enough decorations to thoroughly cover an outdoor space (with all of the wide open space in view.)

New Orleans Saints game posters make for great decorations AND they can even double as prizes for any games that you have planned for your party. Hang the posters in very visible spots throughout your party area. Each time someone wins one of your games, allow them to choose from one of the posters on the wall that hasn’t already been chosen by a previous winner. Typically, you need to throw away the decorations at the end of a party…not this time! Your guests will be able to happily take them home with them! See below for a resource for getting your hands on some New Orleans Rams posters.

Visit your local scrapbooking store and check out there individual print pages. These make for GREAT table place mats or as a base for your centerpiece. They are very inexpensive (typically 60 cents a piece) and can be found in a variety of colors and prints. If you live in the city of the team, you can often find Saints theme pages!

Play a few rounds of football themed Bingo. This is a great activity to play while watching the game during commercial time or every time someone scores during the game. You can either create your own boards or download some HERE.

If you’ll be watching the big game as part of the party (or AS the party) have a New Orleans Saints hat that gets passed around the room each time the Saints make a score of any kind. Each time they score, it gets passed to the next party guest who has to wear the hat until the next time the Saints score. At the end of the game, whoever is wearing the hat wins a prize!

Visit your local fabric store and purchase a couple yards of fabric that would represent the New Orleans Saints (either in colors or in print). Make small sacks from the fabric and fill them with rice, dry beans or gravel. Once tied with a ribbon on top, they make for great weights for helium balloons! They look great as mini table centerpieces and are equally nice to give out to your guests as they leave!

For a New Orleans feel, dig out those white Christmas lights from the garage (normally put on Christmas trees) and decorate the room with them!

When purchasing team print napkins and plates, pick up an extra package of each and use them for decoration! They can be some of the least expensive and festive decorations you can use for your party. Napkins that are unfolded can be hung up, place inside clear bowls for centerpieces and taped up just about anywhere. The plates can be hung from the ceiling and the walls. It’s a simple idea, but a great way to add volume to your decorating without breaking the budget (see below for team print napkins and plate options.)
