New York Jets Party Ideas

As the host or hostess to the party, it’s important for you to dress the part as well. Go all out on dressing in New York Jets colors and mascot prints. As an alternative, especially if there will be fans of the opposing team (on game day), consider borrowing a referee’s shirt from a friend who volunteers through a league or city recreation center.

If you’ll be watching the big game as part of the party (or AS the party) have a New York Jets hat that gets passed around the room each time the Jets make a score of any kind. Each time they score, it gets passed to the next party guest who has to wear the hat until the next time the Jets score. At the end of the game, whoever is wearing the hat wins a prize!

For a fun tablecloth, cover the table with white butcher paper and paint a message right on the paper - something like GO JETS!

Football equipment make for great party decorations - helmets, shoes and balls make for a great table centerpiece arrangement. If you are planning on such a table centerpiece, for fun use a standard turf outdoor doormat for the foundation of the centerpiece!

Play a few rounds of football themed Bingo. This is a great activity to play while watching the game during commercial time or every time someone scores during the game. You can either create your own boards or download some HERE.

Get your hands on some wrapping paper in New York Jets colors (it would be even better to get some official New York Jets print, but not necessary.) Wrap up some empty boxes in the wrapping paper and use as table top decorations throughout your party space. They will add volume to your party decorations and fill the room with team colors. For the more ambitious, consider wrapping very large boxes like those from appliances found behind major department stores!

When purchasing team print napkins and plates, pick up an extra package of each and use them for decoration! They can be some of the least expensive and festive decorations you can use for your party. Napkins that are unfolded can be hung up, place inside clear bowls for centerpieces and taped up just about anywhere. The plates can be hung from the ceiling and the walls. It’s a simple idea, but a great way to add volume to your decorating without breaking the budget (see below for team print napkins and plate options.)
