For
fun Penn State Nittany theme party invitations, consider disguising
your invitations not as invites to your party but rather to
a Penn State Nittany game. Replace all of the usual information
for the game with the date and time for your party!
From
construction paper with the Penn State colors, cut out lots
of lion paw prints. These look great taped to the floor leading
up to the door of your party or all throughout your party
space!
Take
photos of each guest during the party, preferably alone. As
thank you cards, create football trading cards using the photos
that you took of each guest. Its an inexpensive, yet
impressive parting gift and thank you card for attending the
party!
Play
a few rounds of football themed Bingo. This is a great activity
to play while watching the game during commercial time or
every time someone scores during the game. You can either
create your own boards or download some HERE.
Football
equipment make for great party decorations - helmets, shoes
and balls make for a great table centerpiece arrangement.
If you are planning on such a table centerpiece, for fun use
a standard turf outdoor doormat for the foundation of the
centerpiece!
Even
if your party will be held indoors, use large coolers as part
of your decorations. If they do not have the Penn State Nittany
logo on it, its easy to print out the logo from your
computer and tape it directly to the cooler!
When
purchasing team print napkins and plates, pick up an extra
package of each and use them for decoration! They can be some
of the least expensive and festive decorations you can use
for your party. Napkins that are unfolded can be hung up,
place inside clear bowls for centerpieces and taped up just
about anywhere. The plates can be hung from the ceiling and
the walls. Its a simple idea, but a great way to add
volume to your decorating without breaking the budget (see
below for team print napkins and plate options.)
