Pittsburgh Steelers posters look great hanging up around your party area. The great thing is that they also make for awesome game prizes! Have everyone make predictions as to the score after the third, sixth and ninth innings. The person who guesses closest to the real score gets to pick one of the posters to take home with them! See below for online poster resources.

Send your guests on a Baseball themed scavenger hunt! You can either create your own lists or download one CLICK HERE!

Depending on the number of guests you are expecting (and the time of year) you might consider renting an actual dunk tank. On warm days you shouldn’t have any trouble getting volunteers to take their turns on the ‘hot seat.’

Play some Baseball Bingo! You can either make your own cards or just download them CLICK HERE!

For fun party invitations, use Milwaukee Brewers baseball cards! You can either put a single baseball card inside the envelope with each party invitation you mail out OR you can put the information ON the card itself. Print all of the information out on a separate piece of paper first and glue the info onto the backs of each of the cards…all ready to be handed out!

Play a game of Run the Bases! In a backyard space (or some other space outdoors free from breakable obstacles) set out all four bases (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Home.) You can choose whether or not the bases are aligned in a typical baseball diamond or if you’d like to arrange them more random. The object of the game is to run to 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd, then Home then back to 1st again (repeating as many times as they can in one minute.) Each player will get a point each time he/she touches a base as they pass it, not just when they reach home (otherwise the scores could be too close.) The winner is the person with the most points after everyone has a chance to run the bases!

As the team colors for the Pittsburgh Pirates are black, gold and white - be sure to decorate all you can in these colors. A handy trick to blanket the space in the colors is to visit your local fabric store and buy a few lengths of fabric in those colors. You might even be able to find prints representing the Pittsburgh Pirates (if you live in that city). Many things can be done with the fabric such as draping it in swags along windows, adding depth of color to table cloths, even cutting into napkins!

Sometimes you’ll want to blanket a large space of your party with their colors, but that can get pretty expensive. For an inexpensive alternative, pick up a few rolls of cheap wrapping paper in the Padres colors. These can be used to decorates doorways, walls and even used to cut out giant letters spelling the name of the team!
