Hang Texas Rangers posters on the walls to your party - but they ALSO make for great prizes for any games that you have planned. To keep the action going throughout the game, organize a raffle at different times of the game. The first winner gets first choice of poster on the wall to take home with him/her. Wait a little while longer and raffle off another poster. Keep doing this until all of the posters have been claimed! See below for online poster resources.

Depending on the number of guests you are expecting (and the time of year) you might consider renting an actual dunk tank. On warm days you shouldn’t have any trouble getting volunteers to take their turns on the ‘hot seat.’

Make your invitations look like game day tickets for a Texas Rangers game. It’s a perfect format for giving all of the information for your party - the exact time and date for your party!

Play Texas Rangers Penny Pitch. Set up a few Los Angeles Dodgers baseball caps (face up such that they could catch a penny if one was thrown its way) on the ground some distance away. Around the Texas Rangers caps arrange OTHER teams’ caps in a similar fashion. Each player is to throw five pennies towards the arrangement of hats, hoping their pennies land inside the Texas Rangers caps. They will receive 5 points for each penny that does. For every penny that lands in ANOTHER cap (some other team) TWO points are taken away from their score. Once each player has had a chance to throw their five, determine a winner by seeing who has the most points!

As the team colors for the Texas Rangers are blue, red and white - be sure to decorate all you can in these colors. A handy trick to blanket the space in the colors is to visit your local fabric store and buy a few lengths of fabric in those colors. You might even be able to find prints representing the Texas Rangers (if you live in that city). Many things can be done with the fabric such as draping it in swags along windows, adding depth of color to table cloths, even cutting into napkins!

Sometimes you’ll want to blanket a large space of your party with their colors, but that can get pretty expensive. For an inexpensive alternative, pick up a few rolls of cheap wrapping paper in the Padres colors. These can be used to decorates doorways, walls and even used to cut out giant letters spelling the name of the team!
