Transformers Party Ideas
DON'T THROW AWAY THE PARTY DECORATIONS!
- You can give them away as parting gifts after your Transformers party.
Use Transformers posters (see below for inexpensive resources) to hang
around your party area. Allow the winners of different games to choose
which poster they'll take home after the party.
Roadway races. Transformers are cars - so you can have guests play with
cars and/or Transformer toys while they are waiting for other guests to
arrive. Cover a table or area with white butcher paper. They can draw
roads or buildings on the paper and drive their Autobots around
or you can tape or glue black construction paper to the butcher paper
as a road.
Transformer party hide-and-seek. Print out images of Autobots (good guys)
and Decepticons (bad guyes) - you can find images online. Glue them to
colored construction paper - one color for the Autobots and one color
for the Decepticons. Hide them around the party area before your guests
arrive. Divide your guests in half - Autobots and Decepticons. Give them
hats or ribbons to wear on their arms to show which team they are on.
Now they have to search for the transformers on their team. Winner is
the first team to find all their bots.
Search for the Allspark. Wrap a medium sized box in aluminum foil as the
Allspark cube. You can set up a scavenger hunt with clues leading around
the party area to the cube
or just tell your guests that they need
to find the cube. Whichever team finds the cube first wins.
Transformer costume relay race. If you can find cheap Transformer costumes
of Optimus Prime or Bumblebee, divide the group into two teams. Have players
put on the costume, race around an obstacle course or to a line and back,
and then take off the costume and it's the next player's turn.
Transformer cake. The Transformers "face" logo is rather simple.
If you can print it out on paper, use this as a stencil. Now you can use
fondant, or perhaps even yummier - cut strips of fruit roll ups into the
shapes you need. Lay the stripes on the cake in the shape of the face
and you've got an easy cake topper. You can also make a car shaped cake.
Either cut a car silhouette out of a large sheet cake, or you can use
a loaf pan, cut on a diagonal for the top of the car and set it on top
of a rectangle cake. There are also cake pans available if you have the
budget. Round out the edges of the cake and frost with yellow icing. Use
black icing or licorice candy to make the stripes on the cake and you
have a Bumblebee cake of sorts.
