" Finer stationary stores sell elegant sealing wax along with a myriad of different seals - perfect for invitations! You can either choose a letter for the last name of the host/hostess or of a famous vampire. Additionally, they have designs such as regal lions and medieval shields. Before sealing your first envelope, you might want to practice first on a piece of paper - sometimes the drip of wax takes with it a small flame (which you should be ready to blow out immediately.) Also, make sure that your invitation fold is securely flat so that the seal can take (don't let the flap come up even a little or the wax won't seal the invitation.

" Capes are easy and cheap to make and look GREAT as decorations! Visit your discount fabric section of Wal-Mart or fabric store before checking anywhere else. The great part is that you don't even need to be a master seamstress. Simply cut the shape and sew the edges clean. These look great hanging on a coat rack by the front door to the event or hanging on the walls. If you intend on hanging them on the walls, be sure to open them up (additionally, you might consider including a draw string on the top of the cape to make it more recognizable.)

" Depending on your intent, be cautious when using ALL black fabric walls. Black actually absorbs light in the room, aside from being a bit cliché. Instead, look for very dark, deep colors like a deep, dark red, green or violet.

" If your guests are going to be coming as vampires, be sure to invite each guest into your home individually as they arrive. After all, a vampire, it is thought, is rendered powerless if they walk into a home unwelcomed.
