Planning a X-Men party or Wolverine Party and looking for resources? We have what you need and MORE! X-men and Wolverine Party Ideas Have each guest come up with their own mutation. Explain what it is and how it can be used. Play the soundtrack to the movies in the background of the party (check your local public library first.) DON'T THROW AWAY THE PARTY DECORATIONS! - Save money and do something your guests will LOVE! GIVE AWAY your party decorations! Use Xmen posters (see below for inexpensive resources) to hang around your party area. Allow the winners of different games to choose which poster they'll get to walk away with at the conclusion to the party! Combine decorations with party prizes! To make a villain's lair (The Brotherhood of Mutants) - consider using black light bulbs and fluorescent paint. (also known as ultraviolet light and phosphorescent paint, respectively.) Not fluorescent colors, but actual fluorescent paints. Magic shops and stage and lighting companies carry fluorescent paints. The paints are usually sold in small sized cans. Paint words on signs, paint bats on the walls if you're going for a cave, or perhaps the symbols of the superheroes if you've got more than one on the roster for your event. If you are particularly ambitious, you could paint disposable plates, picture frames, whatever might look neat under the blacklight. You'll need your lamp close to the area that's painted, so you may not want to paint too many items. Rosco company makes fluorescent paints. You can check their website and see who sells their products close to you. Hang wanted posters of different villains
(members of the Brotherhood of Mutants such as Magneto, etc.). You can
print images from the Internet, draw them yourself or copy them from coloring
books, then hang them around the event area. You might even include a
villain in the invitations, 'challenging' your guests directly, and to
add ambience. It's a good way to set a mood for beating the bad guys. On the invitations, invite the children to Xavier's School for the Gifted. Create a list of X-Men (the more your guests are familiar with the X-Men characters, the more obscure you can make them...still throwing in some easy ones, too, though.) Call out the name of the mutant and have your guests recall what mutation/power they have.
